Question: What is WiFi Multimedia (WMM)?

WiFi Multimedia (WMM) is also known as Wireless Multimedia Extensions (WME), which is based on IEEE 802.11e to provide basic Quality of Service (QoS) feature on wireless network. WMM can be used to set priority based on voice, video, best effort and background, so that the user can have improved and good online multimedia (audio, video, voice) experience.

Also the WMM Power Save feature can preserve the battery power better on portable wireless devices (PDA , cell phone, VoIP phone, gaming console, etc), so that those devices can be used in longer time without recharging the battery.
